The Darkness 2 Announced
Feb 9th

2K Games has announced a sequel to the creepy shooter The Darkness, heading to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC this autumn.
"The Darkness II is a well of dark and imaginative violence, and it’s a stylized and beautiful nightmare," said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. "The Darkness II continues the 2K Games tradition of delivering quality, innovative games that are filled to the brim with atmosphere and deep storytelling. The game takes a unique stance on fighting in the dark versus light. Combined with the arsenal of weapons at Jackie’s disposal and the gruesome attacks of the supernatural Demon Arms and Darkness powers, we’re proud to announce another title that delivers on our core values of creating games for gamers."
The original sold over a million units since its release in 2007.

2K Games has just announced Joe’s Adventures - a further slice of premium DLC that adds new missions to the popular mob game. The action centres on Joe Barbaro during Vito's time in prison.
The titular adventures take the player to such locations as the train station, the cathouse, a boat yard, a seasonally changing lakefront and many not seen in the regular game.
We're also promised more city-based quests that should open the game up a little - an answer to some criticsm the game has received perhaps.
Joe's Adventures will be available for PC, PS3 and X360 versions of the game later this year.

Mafia II has managed to cling on to the top spot of the UK all-formats chart for another week. Kane & Lynch 2 remains in second place with the rest of the top five undergoing a minor reshuffle.
The highest new entry is the not great - but at least not as crap as the first one - HAWX 2. Surprise news is that Nintendo's Metroid: Other M didn't even make the top ten, the team Ninja Game scraped into twelfth place this week.
Remember you don't have to help Mafia II stay at the top of the charts - instead why not try to win the copy we're giving away in this competition.

Sep 3rd

2K Games and Gearbox Software have confirmed that Duke Nukem Forever will be released after all. 2K Games handing over coding duties to Gearbox with the hope it can do a better job than 3DRealms - which began development in 1997.
"All great things take time... a lot of time," laughs Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. "After a hiatus from the video game world, Duke Nukem is back and better than ever. The return of the King from the glory days of shooters will satisfy our patient, die-hard fans, as well as a new generation of bubble gum-chewing, flat top and shades-wearing bad-asses. Make no mistake about it - Duke Nukem Forever is a testament to the era of when shooters were bodacious and fun."
“Hail to the king, baby! It's unbelievable, it kicks ass and it's totally going to happen!” said Randy Pitchford, president of Gearbox Software, "Gearbox has enabled die-hard key Duke Nukem franchise builders and skilled veteran game makers to stand together and deliver. All gamers deserve a happy ending and after all of us gamers feeling the full range of emotions about Duke Nukem Forever, I am thrilled to be in a position with the trust, power and means to make it happen. Am I crazy? Balls of steel, baby, balls of steel!”
The game is coming to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC some time in 2011.
