Battlefield 3 Pre-Order Upsets Fans

Fans of the Battlefield series have taken to the EA forums to voice their concerns over the pre-order options available to the Limited Edition version of Battlefield 3.
...
Battlefield 3's Limitied Edition goes a little further than most other games with extra weapons, attachments and ammo for the single and multiplayer component if the game is pre-ordered from GAME or Gamestation in the UK. This move has many gamers up in arms over issues of balancing as those that pre-order the Limited Edition will surely have an unfair advantage over those that haven't.
The Battlefield 3: Limited Edition will include the Type 88 Light Machine gun and the DAO-12, which will be activated on launch day. They will also get an exclusive flash suppressor for the SKS sniper rifle, and exclusive armor piercing ammo for the DAO-12.
From our observations balancing isn't an issue DICE is really concerned about given that it still hasn't addressed the issue of shotguns being used as devastating sniper rifles in Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
Battlefield 3 is scheduled for release on October 25th.
