In our initial review of DC Universe Online we promised to take a much deeper look at the console MMO before revealing our final verdict.

Read on for Allan's second and final look at the game.

We don't believe in rushing reviews of new MMO adventures. So while we've had review code of SOE's DC Universe Online for a little while now we're leaving off our final review for a few weeks until we've had more time with the game.

In the meantime we present our preliminary views, as Allan spends his first week in the superhero universe.

And it's all about the Metropolis Police Station.

Sony Online Entertainment has announced that DC Universe has been delayed until early 2011 so that the publisher can carry out open beta testing.

"SOE is dedicated to delivering the highest quality game experiences possible," said John Smedley, President of Sony Online Entertainment. "DC Universe Online is the first game of its kind, and a truly massive undertaking - the first action MMO set in the DC Universe, the first MMO on the PlayStation 3, and the first time the entire DC Universe will be accessible to the millions of fans who are eagerly anticipating its release. As the game heads into external beta testing, this extra time will allow us to address community feedback in a meaningful way. When we get deeper into external beta, we'll be able to share more information regarding the new launch date."
