CCP has announced that the new noob-friendly boxed version of space MMO Eve Online will be released in the UK and Germany in December.

The Commissioned Officer Edition gives players accelerated skill development during their 30 days in the game - helping them get to grips with the MMO.

"The Commissioned Officer Edition is the best way for a new player to get a running start in the highly competitive environment of EVE Online," says Senior Producer Arnar Gylfason.

"We are very glad to be teaming up with CCP to offer this updated EVE Online experience to British and German players who have not yet experienced this great game, as well as to existing fans of the series," said Olivier Comte, Vice President Marketing, Sales and Publishing at NAMCO BANDAI Partners.
