20th Century Fox has signed up Spanish director Daniel Benmayor to make a sequel to the Hitman movie. Benmayor previously directed commercials for Sony PlayStation, Renault, Mercedes, Heineken and Samsung and has directed an action movie called Paintball.

You may wonder why such a terrible movie is getting a sequel, well it made a pot of money - some $100 million from an investment of $30 million.

So far there's no confirmation that Timothy Olyphant will reprise the role as the eponymous hero.

Meanwhile Legendary Pictures has acquired the rights to bring Mass Effect to the big screen. Mark Protosevich has been hired to write the script - his credits include I Am Legend, Thor, The Poseidon Adventure.
