Activision is set to release a new online service specifically for the Call of Duty series. This new service Elite is said to enhance (their words not mine) your Call of Duty experience by adding social functions and better stats tracking.

ChartTrack has revealed that this week Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 became the best selling UK game ever in terms of units.

Impressive too is the rate at which this record was achieved. It has taken just 41 weeks for Modern Warfare 2 to overtake Dr Kawashima's Brain Training.

In contrast it took the DS game three years to take the record from the previous holder Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

Activision has emailed to remind us that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Resurgence Pack is going to be available today from 6.00pm UK/7.00pm CET.

This premium DLC is Xbox 360 exclusive for a month or so and will set you back 1200 Microsoft Points.
