Layoffs at Driver Developer

Some rather sad news to report, especially this close to Christmas. It seems that 19 members of the Reflections team working on Ubisoft's Driver: San Francisco for have been let go.
The cause - according to online reports - is the games troubled development, which has seen the release delayed into the next financial year.
You can find more details on this over at Develop.

Yeah that's a bummer...
On a side note I wanted to post this on the Gran Turismo review since that's what it's about:
Wow ...thank you for not being afraid of speaking the truth ....everything you said is right on point and is exactly what I thought.
This is game is just more of the same ..period. Having been a fan of this game since the first one this game is a big disappointment to me.
Kudos on the review ...I will definitely be adding this site to favorites ...no playing favorites ...just the truth.

Thanks Mark, that's very kind of you. And welcome to our little site.
But my review is just one man's opinion. And it's worth as much/or as little as anyone else's. As I pointed out in the review I've been a huge fan of GT since I bought a Japanese import of the first game - but there really hasn't been much progression since then. Very sad.

Oh no problem at all!
Shame that people can't have civilized discussion within the comments too.
Yeah that's true and yeah there's been very little in the way of progression. As you mentioned too another glaring issue ...the shadows. Good god absolutely horrendous.

It's very sad. This is the first time I've had to moderate comments here. Normally I let anything through. I was hoping for a good discussion of GT5, but the kiddies won't let it happen.
When people are so pathetic as to threaten your children one has to take measures. Wish I didn't have to.

Wow yeah GT5 should have been a great discussion.
Yep that kind of behavior is unacceptable no one should have to put up with that.

Wow, looks like I've missed a lot recently!
