PSN Hack Attack - Sony's Email Statement

PSN users were finally sent information via email regarding the ridiculous security breach that has laid open millions of customers' data to hackers.

It should be a grovelling apology, but it isn't, it's rather matter of fact.

Read the whole thing after the break. Oh and then go cancel your credit cards and change all your passwords. Actually maybe do that first, then read the statement.

PS+ Users Get Yakuza Demo First

Sega has announced that PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to play the Yakuza 4 demo from February 16th.

Meanwhile regular PSN members will have to wait until a week later on the 23rd.

The Yakuza 4 demo will allow players to try out all four playable characters with each of their distinct fighting styles. This is just a taste of what to expect from Yakuza 4 , the game that lets you experience what it is like to be a part of the Japanese underworld. If you want to explore the more exciting parts of Tokyo and give yourself one last chance of becoming somebody in a world of nobodies, Yakuza 4 is the game you’re waiting for.

Mass Effect 2 via PSN - How Fuckin' Much?

Excuse the language, but what in Jebus' name is going on here? Yes you can now download Mass Effect 2 for PlayStation 3 via PSN but it will cost you €60 in the Eurozone and £48 here in the UK.

Are EA/Sony barking mad? You can buy the game for less than a tenner for Xbox 360.

And even if you're mad enough to stump up nearly fifty quid for the game you're going to need 24GB free hard drive space, half for the download, half for the install. Given the awful speed of PSN downloads (ever rented a HD movie from there?) it would be quicker to buy the game from Amazon and wait for the postie to deliver it.

It must be the end times. That'll be why I saw toothless old hags fighting each other for reduced-to-clear green meat in Tesco this morning.

Check through the link as you'll also see the rest of this week's PlayStation Store releases.

I've just checked and Angry Birds isn't up yet, so in the meantime why not download PSOne classic G-Police as I'm doing.
