Online retailer Amazon says that Rockstar Games' Red Dead Redemption is its most pre-ordered game of the year so far.

The western epic holds three of the top five videogame sales positions on the Amaxon chart based on pre-orders alone. These being Xbox 360, PS3 and PS3 limited edition versions.

"This is undoubtedly the most hotly anticipated video game of the year so far," said Amazon's Chris Poad. "Demand has risen significantly over the last week as excitement and buzz around the game has built, making it one of the most successful titles we have seen on Amazon.co.uk this year before it has even been released."

Red Dead Redemption is set for release in the UK tomorrow (Friday) and has been on sale in the US since Tuesday. You can read my review of the game at Boomtown.
