Worms Bargain for Halloween
Oct 29th

Team 17 is offering Worms Reloaded for half price via Steam along with some new content for Halloween.
Team17’s Worms franchise has long been known as highly entertaining, tactically demanding, hilarious fun for all the family. But did you know that Worms can also be scary? Neither did we, but once again Worms defies convention and delivers new content guaranteed to haunt your nightmares and a mortally wounding price cut, this Halloween weekend!
Beginning today, Steam will be offering an utterly unholy (hand grenade) 50% discount to all the worldwide Worms fans that have yet to purchase a copy of the title. Team17 will also be introducing some special, creepy and kooky, Halloween-themed worms hats for everyone that has the game, to customize your pint-sized fighting force with. But beware; you will only have a limited time* to enjoy these bonuses before they disappear, back to the twisted Team17 lab and the devious development staff that created them.
*Hats available from 28th October to 7th November, 50% discount available from 28th-31st October.
Worms Reloaded can be purchased via Steam.

Steam Borks F1 2010 Release
Sep 24th

Someone at Valve has had a monumental case of the stupids that means that UK gamers who pre-ordered Codemasters F1 2010 still cannot play the game.
For such users the game still has the status of "pre-load" in the Steam client rather than "Play".
The game should have unlocked at midnight.
As you can see the Steam community forum is understandably annoyed.
Update: One suggested workaround I've seen in various F1 2010 community postings is to connect via a VPN in the US. Steam will then unlock the game you've paid for. Sorted.

Mafia came out of nowhere and showed how a city-based game should be done. Despite some awkward driving moments it has grown into a modern classic and the sequel has been highly anticipated.
But has it been worth the very long wait? Alas Graham doesn't think so, read on for his review.

We've played a lot of variations of Worms over the years. From the epic earlier 2D games to the less-than-stella 3D incarnations. On something of a roll after the recent XBLA release - brining back the 2D worms with plenty of modern flare it's the PC's turn to get the same attention.
Today sees the release of Worms Reloaded via Steam. But the question is should you shell out for a game that's similar in many ways to the Worms you've annihilated before? The answer is yes, but for the reasons why you'll have to click through to Adam's review.

Hold on to your hats, people: Valve has confirmed a February 9th release date for Portal 2.
The sequel to one of the most innovative and humorous games of 2007 will be making an appearance on Xbox 360, PC and PS3, with the latter, according to Valve boss Gabe Newell, being the "best version on any console."
The Office's Stephen Merchant is even voicing the Buddy Sphere, Wheatly. Marvellous.
