Ubisoft has confirmed that Ubisoft Red Storm has made 38 employess redundant - hower the company says these members of staff were given a choice of positions at other Ubisoft-owned studios.

"Red Storm remains an integral part of Ubisoft's worldwide production team and will continue to work on the multiplayer component of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier," said the publisher.

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is due for release in early 2011.

Ubisoft has emailed to tell us that Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wii and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon for PSP will be released this autumn.

The screenshot above is from the PSP game, which looks pretty good to me, not far off the first GRAW on X360 (don't believe then fire it up - remember when that wowed you?).

You can now download and play the demo for Tom Clancy's HAWX 2 on Xbox 360. Our friends at Ubisoft tell us the demo features two full missions from the full campaign and these are as follows:

Interception Course
Take to the air to intercept a group of stolen aircraft high above the Caucasus Mountains. Right in the middle of this hot spot on the world conflict radar, you will be playing as a Russian pilot in this mission, part of the new multinational cinematic story narrative in H.A.W.X. 2.

Seek and Destroy
Playing from the perspective of the elite US H.A.W.X. squadron, conflict is boiling over in Africa and you are tasked with taking out specific targets with smart ammunition in a treacherous night mission. Take off from a carrier under the cover of darkness and strike against a weapon smuggling operation using precision guided laser bombs.

The demo is available now on Xbox Live and PlayStation 3 owners won't have to wait too long, the PS3 demo will be released on Wednesday.
