Portal 2 Delayed
Nov 19th

The worst has happened, people: February 9th will no longer be the day you get your hands on a copy of Portal 2.
Developer Valve has pushed back the highly anticipated sequel to April 22, but offers a few words of condolence.
“This two month slip not only marks the shortest delay in Valve's proud tradition of delays, it represents the approaching convergence of Valve Time and Real Time. Though this convergence spells doom for humanity, it will not affect the new Portal 2 release date.”
Comforting, I'm sure you'll agree. While you wait though, why not check out some footage?
Portal 2 is in development for PS3, 360 and PS3.
Steam Borks F1 2010 Release
Sep 24th

Someone at Valve has had a monumental case of the stupids that means that UK gamers who pre-ordered Codemasters F1 2010 still cannot play the game.
For such users the game still has the status of "pre-load" in the Steam client rather than "Play".
The game should have unlocked at midnight.
As you can see the Steam community forum is understandably annoyed.
Update: One suggested workaround I've seen in various F1 2010 community postings is to connect via a VPN in the US. Steam will then unlock the game you've paid for. Sorted.
Portal 2 Co-op Trailer Really Hits the Spot
Sep 10th

It turns out that trailer we've already seen for Portal 2's co-op campaign is only a fraction of the real deal.
A new two-minute-long trailer has emerged from the Interwebs packed with charming and slightly disturbing footage of the robot duo thinking (and working) in portals.
If you're a fan of Portal, you don't want to miss this. If you're not a fan of Portal, why aren't you a fan of Portal? You crazy.
Portal 2 is due out February 9th 2011.
Check out the vid after the jump.

New footage of Portal 2's co-op gameplay has emerged from this year's PAX.
I'll save you an explanation because this is something you've got to see for yourself.
The game releases February 9th next year - an agonising wait, I'm sure you'll agree.

Aug 26th
Two videos shown at last week's gamescom have been released by Valve, offering a snippet of Portal 2's latest wizardry in action.
The mutual theme is bouncing, but via two very different methods: Repulsion Gel and Faith Plates, both of which make for some truly mind-bending puzzles. I'm a little afraid of this game now.

Hold on to your hats, people: Valve has confirmed a February 9th release date for Portal 2.
The sequel to one of the most innovative and humorous games of 2007 will be making an appearance on Xbox 360, PC and PS3, with the latter, according to Valve boss Gabe Newell, being the "best version on any console."
The Office's Stephen Merchant is even voicing the Buddy Sphere, Wheatly. Marvellous.

May 20th

Valve has revealed that 1.5 million gamers have taken advantage of Portal being offered as a free download to promote Steam's launch on Apple Mac.
The publisher has also released some stats about the game, including that it's a fifth less likely to crash on Mac than Windows. It seems two thirds of Mac gamers are playing the game on a laptop and Mac game sales already account for 11 percent of Steam purchases.
You've still got time to grab the brilliant Portal for free, it's available for both PC and Mac until May 24th.
